Foot Harness, Two-Finger-Release Buckle, Neoprene

Important: never use a foot harness on its own. A foot harness must always be combined with a hip harness or a chest harness. If the feet are secured while the upper body is not, the user can slide forward in the seat while the feet stay fixed — which loads the knees and hips and can cause injury. Secure the body first, the feet last.

Steady & positioned feet

A foot that slides off the footplate takes the leg, and often the pelvis, with it. The harness keeps each foot placed and supported, so the ankle, knee and hip hold a functional angle instead of being repositioned again and again through the day. Soft neoprene padding cushions the contact area and gives the even, gentle compression many children find settling.

Built for daily use

Reinforced stitching at the load points, hard-wearing webbing and neoprene that holds its cushioning wash after wash. The harness mounts to strap mount cam buckles on the chair or footplate — separate fittings, not part of the harness, which can be retrofitted where they are missing.

  • Made to withstand repeated daily handling
  • Wipe-clean and machine washable for shared settings
  • Mounts to strap mount cam buckles on chair or footplate
  • Straightforward for family, school staff and carers

Side release buckle

The familiar side release clip — the same one found on backpacks and life jackets. Push the two halves together and it clicks shut. Squeeze the sides with two fingers and it opens. Nothing to learn, which makes it the easiest option for helpers, school staff and family who don’t work with positioning aids every day.

  • Closes with a push, opens with a two-finger squeeze
  • Familiar action — anyone can use it without instruction
  • Quick to release for transfers
  • Robust, proven mechanism for daily use
