The magnetic quick lock makes the harness fast and easy to handle for users and helpers alike. Closing takes no aim — simply drop the front part on top of the bottom part, and the magnet pulls the left and right straps together and locks them. To open, pull the attached string: the two straps release from each other and the user can get out of the chair.

The point is that it needs a pull, not a pinch. Stiff or sore fingers can still manage a pull.
