For users who open the buckle themselves
Same hip positioning as the centre release version, with one difference that matters in practice: the pin release buckle takes a deliberate action to open. For users who have learned to press a push-button or pick at hook-and-loop, this is the version that stays fastened.
- Pin release buckle — resists unintended and self-opening
- Corrects posterior pelvic tilt (sacral sitting and sliding forward)
- Corrects pelvic obliquity (one side sitting lower than the other)
- Two-point mounting with two padded sides
Double adjustable and built to last
Each side tightens independently, so an asymmetric position can be corrected with more tension where it’s needed. Material reinforcements at the load points mean the harness holds its shape through daily use.
- Double adjustable — independent left/right tension
- Reinforced materials at high-load points
- Covered buckles, rounded webbings, trim strip
- Water- and dirt-repellent, easy to wipe clean
- CE-certified · Sizes XS–XL
Fitting
The harness should pull down and back across the hips, not up over the abdomen. Because the pin release is harder to open, carers should be shown the release action before the harness goes into daily use. This is a positioning aid, not a vehicle restraint.
- Angle and fit set by an occupational therapist or physiotherapist
- Brief carers and school staff on the release action
- Use an approved occupant restraint for transport
