Trunk support that comes off in one movement
The Chest Positioning Zipper Stretch is a vest-style trunk support for users who need more than a single strap can give. It corrects forward slumping in kyphosis and excessive arching in lordosis by spreading the corrective force across the whole chest rather than pressing it through one narrow band.
The zipper down the centre is what makes it practical in daily life. Once a therapist has set the strap lengths and mounting points, they stay set — carers simply unzip to transfer the user out of the chair and zip up again afterwards. No unthreading, no re-adjusting, no drift in fit from one carer to the next. Side release buckles allow the vest to be opened and closed while in use as well.
- Supports trunk posture in kyphosis and lordosis
- Centre zipper for fast, repeatable transfers in and out of the chair
- Side release buckles allow opening while seated
- Vest design distributes pressure across the chest, not one point
Stretch that lets the chest breathe
The material is deliberately elastic. It gives with the ribcage during breathing and allows the small trunk movements that matter for comfort, pressure relief and active participation — a child can still reach for something on the table. Where firmer, more corrective control is needed, a non-stretch chest positioning is the better choice; this version is for guidance and containment rather than rigid correction.
Shoulder padding should rest against the shoulders without touching the neck, and rounded webbings with a trim strip keep hardware and loose strap ends away from skin and wheels.
- Stretchable material — free respiration and natural movement
- Padded shoulder straps positioned clear of the neck
- Rounded webbings, covered buckles, trim strip
- Water-repellent: hand wash at max. 30 °C, do not tumble dry
